University Information


Registering for the University

All students must register with the University at the start of your programme of study - registration gives you official status as a student of Newcastle University. Go and register straight after you have settled in to your accommodation. If you have not provisionally-registered, register now via S3P.


  • International, exchange or EU Students- Monday 18th September (Early Arrivals Week)
  • Main registration- Tuesday 19th September until Wednesday 27th September (including the weekend)


Hadrian Building (formerly King’s Road Centre) - (building number 4 on the campus map)


You will need the paper copy of your Registration Document to:
    • confirm your identity
    • collect your Smart Card

Please ensure you also bring a valid form of ID, such as a passport, in order to confirm your identity. Please bring an NHS number (if you have one) in order to register with a local GP. Find out more info here:
